Individual Adult Psychotherapy
I came to the world of psychology from a background in meditative practice, or what I call a Buddhist psychological perspective. I have found value in the wisdom attained by spiritual masters of the past and present, who made great progress in uncovering the source and alleviation of human suffering.
I have a warm and intuitive therapeutic style. I integrate my training and experience in several different approaches to match the needs and goals of my clients. I am influenced by several traditions including psycho-dynamic, Jungian, cognitive, post-modern and somatic experiencing. In addition to more conventional talk therapy some of my patients find that my skill in utilizing mindfulness-based psychotherapy and the trauma resiliency model to be highly effective for gaining insight and awareness into the mind/body/spirit continuum and the alleviation of suffering.
